Obituary of Shirley Tittle

Shirley Mae Tittle, 76, of Niles, passed away at Riveridge Manor in Niles on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Shirley was born on February 17, 1940, to the late Joseph and Bertie Hambrick in Brinkley, Arkansas. After high school, Shirley wed Herbert Tittle on May 26, 1961, in Niles, Michigan. Shirley worked as a cashier for many years at Harding's Supermarket. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to garage sales, traveling to the Upper Peninsula, looking at lighthouses and quiet Sunday afternoon car rides. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Hambrick. Shirley is survived by her husband, Herbert Tittle of Niles, daughters, Teri Szilagyi and Lynda Liggett both of Niles, 4 grandchildren; Jennifer Jackson, Laura (Matt) Newton, Jakob and Rachael Szilagyi, 6 great-grandchildren; Gracie, Payton, Eli, Haiven, Hunter and Matt Jr., a brother Jerry Hambrick of Alabama, two sisters, Joann Chitty and Jean Colvin both of Arkansas and many extended family members. Funeral services will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 1:00p.m. with a time of visitation beginning two hours prior. An interment will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery.
