Obituary of Joyce Elizabeth Ralston

Joyce E. Ralston, 75, of Niles passed away at the Hospice House of South Bend on Saturday, February 18, 2017. On February 22, 1941 in Dowagiac, Michigan, Joyce was born to the late Stephen and Louise (Munson) Elo. After graduating from high school she married her high School sweetheart, Edwin Ralston at a ceremony in Niles on January 20, 1962. Joyce was a devoted wife and an extremely proud mother and grandmother. She loved to spend time outdoors, especially gardening. She was an avid sports fan and always rooted for the Yukon girls' basketball team. Her family fondly remembers all of the delicious treats that Joyce spent time preparing with love in the kitchen. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edwin Ralston, her children, Bruce (Nella) Ralston of Niles, Stacy (Scott) Wahlstrom of Buchanan, and Brad Ralston of Niles. She will also be missed by her five grandchildren, Randin (Katie) Ralston, Gerald (Ashley) Ralston, Joshua Wahlstrom, Jordan Wahlstrom, and Jacob Wahlstrom, her two great-grandchildren, Brody Enders, and Chase Ralston and her siblings, Patricia (Bill) Raynor of Ann Arbor and her brother Stephen Elo of Niles. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Niles at 1446 E.
