Sharon Resendiz, 75, of Niles, passed away at Riveridge Manor in Niles on Monday, December 9, 2017.
Sharon was born on October 9, 1942, to the late Edgar and Beatrice (Wygent) Schmidtman in Benton Harbor. Sharon worked as a home health care aid and on April 3, 1991, she wed Juan Resendiz at a ceremony in St. Joseph, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Beatrice Schmidtman, and brothers, Alan, Donald, and Gerald.
Sharon is survived by her children, Darla (Lary) Arndt of Eau Claire, Trena Rogers of Eau Claire, and David (Michelle) Vales of Mattawan; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and close friends.
In keeping with Sharon's wishes, she has been cremated and her family will be holding a private burial in the spring.
