Obituary of Frederick Burner

Frederick "Fred" William Burner, 72, of Edwardsburg, passed away at Chalet of Niles on Thursday, March 9, 2017.
Fred was born on February 1, 1945 to the late Orlando and Edna Burner in South Bend. Fred entered the United States Navy. He served for several years before he then joined the United States Coast Guard where he honorably served for over 10 years. Fred Also served as a maintenance engineer at Solvay and Federal-Mogul. He earned his Associate's Degree from Southwestern Michigan University and spent several years as a CAD Trailer Designer.
He was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his wife, Nancy; mother, Edna Burner; siblings, Suzanne ("Toshi") Kamikawa of Hawaii, Bruce Burner of Kentucky, and Sara (Mike) Avery, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Fred's wishes a private burial will be held.
