Marcella "Marcie" E. Hanselman, 96, of Buchanan, formerly of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, March 26, 2017. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Edward C. and Ellen (Jennings) Hampe. On August 14, 1943 Marcie married Fredrick H. Hanselman, Jr. at a ceremony in St. Paul, Minnesota. A homemaker most of her life, Marcie took great enjoyment in playing bingo and cards and time spent with family. She was a member of the Spirit of Grace Lutheran Church and volunteered regularly while living in Florida. Marcie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fredrick H. Hanselman, Jr., a brother, Ed Hampe and two sisters, Vernie Bedard and Geraldine Gardner. She is survived by a daughter, Kay E. Hanselman of Palatine, Illinois, two sons, Fredrick R. (Joan) Hanselman of Buchanan, Michigan and Scott (Cathy) Hanselman of Sarasota, Florida, three grandchildren; Jerald (Stacy) Hanselman, Curt (Laura) Hanselman and Jenii Hanselman, five great-grandchildren and a brother, Ronald Hampe. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, Florida 34655. Memorial contributions may be made in Marcie's memory to Smiles for Children, Hospice at Home or Pet Refuge. Memories of Marcie may be left for her family at www.BrownFuneralHomeNiles.com.
