Obituary of Edith J. Seals

Edith "Jane" Seals, 99, of Niles, passed away at Riveridge Rehabilitation Healthcare Center on Friday, March 31, 2017, following a brief illness.
She was born on February 16, 1918 in Kosciusko County Indiana to Silvia (Anderson) and Clyde Cochran.
Edith married Everett "Jack" Seals on June 25, 1940 in Berrien County Michigan. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1996. Jane worked for many years as a pattern folder for the Simplicity Pattern Company in Niles. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and mostly time spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Everett Seals and her eight siblings.
Edith is survived by her sons, Jerry Seals of Buchanan and Jim (Sandie) Seals of Niles, three grandchildren; Bridget (Michael) Holt of Niles, Brent (Stephanie) Seals of Cassopolis and Todd (Malia) Seals of Colorado and two great-grandchildren, Carlee (David) Dawson of Niles and Satchel Seals of Cassopolis.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be remembered privately by her family.
Memorial contributions may be made in Edith's memory to The Humane Society.
Edith's family would like to thank the staff of Riveridge Rehabilitation for caring for Edith like family for the past few years. The compassion and support they provide over the last week will never be forgotten.
