Obituary of Hazel E. Mann

Hazel Mann, 75, of Berrien Springs, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. She was born on May 11, 1941 in Portageville, Missouri to the late Paul D. and Opal L. (Rose) Alexander. Hazel worked as a senior accountant for over 45 years at Tyler Refrigeration. She enjoyed reading, especially biographies and doing crossword and word search puzzles. She was a sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed watching NBA basketball and Dennis Rodman as well as her grandchildren's events. Hazel always loved time spent with her family. She had a deep faith and had been a Sunday School teacher for over nine years. She is survived by her children; Paul (Caroline) Alexander of Milan, Tennessee, Stephanie (Greg) Snodgrass of Buchanan and Jessica (Terry) Sing of Berrien Center, ten grandsons, one granddaughter, and five great-grandchildren, a brother, Tommie Alexander and two sisters, Shirley (Richard) Avery of Peachtree City, Georgia and Barbara (Bill) Hunsberger of Niles. Visitation at Brown Funeral Home in Niles on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 will begin at 5:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made in Hazel's memory to Berrien Springs Community Library.
