Obituary of Raymond Isek

Raymond R. Isek, 72, of Niles, passed away at Lakeland Hospital in Niles on Thursday, April 6, 2017.
Ray was born on June 26, 1944, to the late Peter and Harriet (Wiggens) Isek in Chicago, Illinois. After high school, Ray enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served for four years.
On May 6, 1994, he wed the love of his life, Diane, at a ceremony in South Bend. Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Theresa Transbarger.
Ray is survived by his wife of nearly 23 years, Jeanetta "Diane" Isek; step-sons, Scott (Amy) Gutierrez of Osceola, Indiana and Tony Grooms of Buchanan; six grandchildren; sisters, Fran (George) Griffin and Kathy Mcilwee both of Chicago; and many extended family members and close friends.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Niles at 11:00 a.m. with a time of visitation one hour prior. Father Christian Johnston will be officiating. Following the service, Ray will be privately interred at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
