Hernder "Howard T." Douglas, 65, of Cassopolis, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Howard was born on May 5, 1951 to the late Lawrence Douglas and Florien Blankenship in Caruthersville, Missouri. After graduating from high school Howard went to work as a Pot Tender at Duwel's (I.C.G.) until an accident forced him to retire. He cared for his mother until February of 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Hilton Douglas and William "Bill" Milligan, god-daughter Marilyn Beasley. Howard is survived by his children, Darrell Douglas of Chicago, Illinois, Thomas Douglas of Springfield, Massachusetts, Lamont (Raquell) Douglas of Battle Creek, Michigan and Audra (Emett) Rodriguez of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Lamont "Ladd" Douglas, Jr., Tyrae Douglas, Lamarion Douglas, and Journey Douglas; great granddaughter, Kai; god-son Shavaar Washington and siblings, Beverly Weaver of Berrien Springs, Michigan, Lonnie Douglas of South Bend, Indiana, Craymon (Annette) Douglas of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Michael (Anita) Douglas of Niles, Michigan, Joyce Pettiford of San Jose, California, Fay Johnson of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Donna (Albert) Hotrum of Dowagiac, Michigan as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Home going services for Howard T. will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. with a time of visitation one hour prior.
