Jon Jankoviak, 79, of Niles, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 22, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Petoskey, Michigan to the late Harry J. and Bernice G. (Champion) Jankoviak.
Jon graduated from high school in 1957 and in 1961 enlisted in The U.S. Army Reserves and furthered his education obtaining an associate's degree in accounting. He worked in accounting for many years at Clark Equipment Company in Buchanan as well as Associates. On July 15, 1961, Jon married Kathleen J. Payne at a ceremony in Niles.
Jon firmly believed John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life". He was a member of Michiana Christian Embassy in Niles where he served as deacon for a number of years. Jon had a sincere faith and did more than believe The Gospel, he lived it.
