Obituary of Mae Hydorn

Mae Adele Hydorn September 26, 1927 May 24, 2007 Mae Adele (Miller) Hydorn, 79, of Niles, passed away on Thursday May 24th, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Mae was born on September 26, 1927 in Niles, Michigan to the late Homer and Evabelle Miller. Mae retired as a private secretary for the Kawneer Company formerly in Niles. After retirement she was a foster grandparent and volunteered at Lakeland Hospital. She also had an extended family at YANA house in Niles. Her hobbies included computer games, watching the birds, and crocheting. Mae is preceded in death by her parents Homer Miller and Eva Belle Fisher, husbands James Shipley and LeRoy Hydorn, one sister June Trapp and a step-daughter Judy Walls. She is survived by one daughter Laura (Dave) York of Niles, one sister Genevive LaPorte, two grandchildren Bradley York of Stafford, Virginia, and Vikki York of Niles, Michigan, six great-grandchildren Zachory York, Callie York, Benjamin York, Hanna York, Gatlin York, and Kristen York, three step-daughters Darlene Meyers, Diane Backus and Mary Ostrander, and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday May 29th, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel 61453 M-51 Niles, MI. A time of visitation will be held two hours prior. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Niles and Mission Hills Memorial Chapel.
