Obituary of Katherine Hart

January 18, 1949 October 21, 2006 Katherine "Kathy" Hart, 57, of Deans Hill Road in Berrien Center, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2006 after a courageous 9 year battle with cancer. She was born Katherine Frye on January 18, 1949 to Paul and Nancy (Weeks) Frye in Portsmith, Ohio. On November 28, 1972 Kathy was married to the love of her life, Danny Hart, at a beautiful ceremony in Niles. A homemaker most of her life, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, bowling and fishing. She is preceded in death by her parents. Kathy is survived by her husband of 33 years, three daughters; Elizabeth Hall of South Bend, Rebecca Biggs of South Bend, Danell Hart of Berrien Center a son Danny (Deborah) Hart Jr. of Berrien Center, three brothers; Paul (Darla) Frey of Pennsylvania, James (Hattie) Frey of Texas and William (Lea) Frye of Texas, a sisters Ruth Foltz of Granger, Indiana and Debbie Frye of Indiana and 8 wonderful grandchildren. A time of visitation and remembrance will be held on Wednesday October 25, 2006 from 5:00 - 8:00p.m. at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel 61453 M-51 N., Niles. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Mission Hills Memorial Chapel with Rev. Garland Rhodes officiating. Kathy's family wishes to thank Estella Shannon, a Hospice caregiver, and Chaplin Mary Shawl-Ranke for their compassion and support to them and Katherine. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services (formerly Pifer~Smith) of Niles.
