Alfred Truman "Jack" Cordell

Alfred T. "Jack" Cordell, 81, Niles, formerly of Redlands, California, passed away at the Dowagiac Nursing Home following an illness.
Jack was born on December 18, 1924 in Washington to the late James D. and Edna (Gray) Cordell.
He was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army during WWII stationed with the 3rd Division E-Company. Jack was a union sheet metal worker for over 32 years before retiring. He was a member of the AFL-CIO for over 50 years and also served as a past office. Jack was also a proud, long time member with the Local 360 and Local 105. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Anne and a sister Yvonne and her husband Wayne B. Curran.
He is survived by three sons; Randall (Lil) Cordell of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, Clint (Caroline) Cordell of Niles and Robert Cordell of Mattawan, a daughter Susan (Gregg) Salisbury of Portage, Michigan, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday November 4th at 11:30 a.m. at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel located at 61453 M-51 N. Niles. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior. An entombment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park in Redlands, California.
Memorial contributions can be made in Jack's memory to Hospice of Greater Kalamazoo.
