Alvin Henry Hartline November 11, 1915 December 16, 2006 Alvin Henry Hartline, 91, of Pine Lake Street in Edwardsburg, passed away at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Alvin was born on November 11, 1915 to the late Celis and Margaret Hartline in Bakertown, Michigan. On April 11, 1936 Alvin wed Edna Cheney at a ceremony in Niles. Alvin enjoyed wood working and listening to music. He was a gifted fiddle player and loved all types of string instruments. He is preceded in death by his parents, sons Alvin Jr. and Jerry Hartline, daughter Barbara Smith and many brothers and sisters. Alvin is survived by his sons Dale (Edna) Hartline of Cassopolis, Ronnie Hartline of Elkhart and Terry Hartline of Cassopolis, daughters Judy (John) Swartz of Marcellus and Bonnie (Ed) Finley of Edwardsburg, 24 grand children, numerous great grand children and 2 great great grand children. In keeping with Alvin's wishes he has been cremated and his ashes will be inurned at Silverbrook Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Alvin's memory to Hospice of Southwest Michigan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
