Jerry Vondal Bridges April 21, 1943 January 25, 2007 Jerry V. Bridges, 63, of Vineyard Ave. passed away at his home on January 25, 2007 with his family by his side. Jerry was born on April 21, 1943 to the late Woodrow and Ethel (Greer) Bridges in Lake City, Arkansas. He married Sally Polaskey on Valentine's Day in 1982 at a ceremony in Sister Lakes. Jerry retired from JR's Body Shop and in his free time loved to fish. He is preceded in death by his parents. Jerry is survived by his wife of nearly 25 years, Sally, Sons Jerry (Ginger) Bridges Jr. of Florida, Michael (Marcella) Polaskey of Reed City, MI and William Bingham of Benton Harbor, Daughters Tamela (Sean) Steffenhagen of Florida, Cristina Best of Florida and Susan Bridges of Benton Harbor, Brother Woodrow "JR" (Geraldine) Bridges of Benton Harbor, Sisters Ellouise Springer of Bangor and Sharon (Gail) Hurrell of Coloma and 13 grandchildren. The family will be having a memorial service on Saturday at the Lyon's Park at 2:00 pm Memorial contributions may be made in Jerry's memory to Tiny Talkers.
