Palmer "Bud" I. Sweet April 28, 1921 February 11, 2007 Palmer "Bud" Sweet, 85, of Indian Lake Road in Niles, passed away at his home on February 11, 2007. Bud was born on April 28, 1921 to the late Lester and Charity (Adams) Sweet in Marengo, Michigan. On May 5, 1947 Bud married the one true love of his life Florence Pond at a ceremony in Three Rivers. Bud was in the United States Navy from 1939 to 1945 where he proudly served his country. He retired from Jessup Door Company in 1984. In Bud's spare time he enjoyed woodworking in his shop. He is preceded in death by his parents, Brother Jack Sweet, Sisters Avis Johnson, Virginia Kingsbury and Mickey Nowak and Daughter-In-Law Arloa Sweet. Bud is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years Flo, Sons Thomas Teaque of Virginia Beach, VA, Lester "Butch" Sweet of Niles and Dennis (Patricia) Sweet of Shelbyville, TN, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grand children and one more on the way. In keeping with Bud's wishes he will be cremated and interred at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in Bud's memory to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
