Mary Ann (Balog) Stewart March 30, 1918 February 20, 2007 Mary Ann Stewart, 88, of Bluff Street in Niles, passed away at the home of her son on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Mary was born on March 30, 1918 to the late Mary Balog in Michigan City, Indiana. After graduating from high school Mary wed the love of her life, Carlyle Stewart at a ceremony at St. Mary's Church in Niles. Together they had one son. Mary worked at Simplicity Pattern Company as a folder before retiring after 43 years of dedicated service. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sisters Amy Orpurt and Pat Brockus. Mary is survived by her husband of 65 amazing years, Carlyle, Son William "Bill" (Paula) Stewart of Niles, Sisters Dorothy Hibberd of Niles, Elizabeth Rayburn of Ft. Pierce, FL and Josephine Syson of Walkerville, MI and Brother Jerry (Fran) Balog of Niles, Grandchildren Michael Stewart of Granger and Dawn Nijak of Columbus, OH and 5 Great-grandchildren with one on the way. Mary's funeral service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Mission Hills Memorial Chapel at 6:00 p.m. Mary will be interred at the Mission Hills Memorial Mausoleum. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mission Hills Memorial Chapel and Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Niles.
