Marilyn Jean Baushke January 19, 2007 March 22, 2007 Marilyn Jean Baushke, age 76, of Coloma, passed away on March 22, 2007 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan. Marilyn was born to the late Edwin & Irene Retzke on December 17, 1930 in Chicago, IL. Marilyn sustained a broken femur on January 19, 2007 which required major surgery to be repaired. During the recovery process, Marilyn developed severe pneumonia which led to her death. After moving here with her family from Chicago in 1946, she married Harold B. Baushke Jr. of Benton Harbor on January 7, 1950. She lived a simple and unselfish life as a loving mother and grandmother. Marilyn spent the majority of her life raising her children, working on the family farms, and helping at the community farm markets in the Chicagoland area. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially spending time in her gardens. She had a great knowledge and love of all kinds of flowers and plants. Marilyn is survived by four sons; Edward Baushke of Benton Harbor, Carl (Cheri) Baushke of Coloma, William (Patricia) Baushke of Clarksville, Tennessee, Christopher (Heidi) Baushke of Coloma, and a daughter Susan (Mark) Brusveen of Grand Haven, twelve grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all her remaining family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 27, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at North Shore Memory Gardens Chapel with visitation one hour prior.
