Obituary of Luevenia Carter

Luevenia Carter, 95, of Silverbrook Manor, formerly of McCroy, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday May 2, 2007 at Silverbrook Manor, following an illness. She was born on August 4, 1911 in Rosebud, Arkansas to the late William and Etta (Adcock) Free. In 1927 she married the love of her life Leonard Carter. A homemaker most of her life, Luevenia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her hobbies included reading poetry, spending time outdoors gardening, canning and mostly spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of First Missionary Church of Niles. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and all of her brothers and sisters. Luevenia is survived by four sons; Norman A. (Delores) Carter of Niles, Doyle (Ruth) Carter of Searcy, Arkansas, Edsel (Della) Carter of Niles, Elmer (Diane) Carter of Niles and 25 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 5, 2007 at 11:00a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Niles with Rev. Tim Fletcher officiating. A time of visitation will take place at Brown Funeral Home on Friday May, 4, 2007 from 6:00 - 8:00p.m.
