Obituary of Hattie Quick

Hattie P. Quick, 85, of Niles, passed away Thursday May 3, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend following a brief illness. She was born in Potomac, Illinois to the late Fred and Halda Spain. Hattie married George Quick, who preceded her in death. A homemaker most of her life, Hattie also cooked and helped the family at Quick Convalescent Home. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and helped as a volunteer for Niles Senior Center. Hattie is survived by a son Victor (Roberta) Quick of Niles, two grandchildren Victoria Hughes of Cincinnati, Ohio and Matthew Quick of Cincinnati, a step-grandchild Matt (Robbie) Center of Buchanan, three great-grandchildren; Shannon and Kyle Center of Buchanan and Clair Hughes of Cincinnati, four sisters; Julia (Roger) Marrow of Niles, Laverna Wright of Niles, Frances Vargo of Niles and Beverly (Ray) Birczak of Niles, two brothers Frank (Juanita) Spain of Niles and Ron (Rosemary) Spain of Niles. In keeping with Hattie's wishes no services will be held and an interment will take place at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
