Obituary of Larry E. Drury

Larry E. Drury, 79, of Niles, passed away on May 4, 2017 at Sanctuary of Holy Cross in South Bend, following an illness. He was born on August 31, 1937 in Erie, Illinois to the late Lawrence and Vada (Graham) Drury. After graduating high school, Larry went on to further his education, obtaining his associates degree in business. He worked in the food and fruit industry for many years including; Green Giant, Indian Summers, Clement Pappas and AMSafe, where he retired from. He thoroughly enjoyed sports, especially watching Notre Dame Football. Larry also enjoyed time outdoors fishing or playing a round of golf. He mostly looked forward to spending time with his family. Larry is survived by his companion of fourteen years, Linda Alexander of Niles, his daughters, Dawn Wood and Debbie Brady, both of San Antonio, Texas, his step-children, John (Andrea) Alexander of Mishawaka and Heather Alexander of Elkhart, nine grandchildren and his siblings; Susan Green of Maquoketa, Iowa, Beth Poling of Morrison, Illinois and Ross (Kim) Drury of Lake In The Hills, Illinois. In keeping with Larry's wishes a private family burial will be held at Silverbrook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Larry's memory to the National Kidney Foundation.
