Emma Louise "Mona" Woods, 60, of Chicago, formerly of Niles, passed away on Tuesday May 22, 2007 at University of Chicago Hospital, following an extended illness. She was born on November 16, 1947 in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Woodrow and Florine (Bryant) Woods. Mona was a graduate of Brandywine High School class of 1965. She received her Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Truman College in Chicago. Mona enjoyed teaching and working as a computer consultant. Mona was an acclaimed Certified Microsoft Technician and achieved Business Women of the Year in Tallahassee, Florida. She was the former owner of Computer Management Incorporated of Tallahassee, Florida. Her interests included plants, puzzles and shopping. In her youth she modeled for Jet Magazine. Mona is survived by a son John (Tanya) Tubbs of Jacksonville, Florida, a granddaughter Kara Marie Tubbs of Jacksonville, Florida, four sisters; Mary Sue (Robert) Jones of Chicago, Elizabeth Woods of Niles, Gail Woods of South Bend, and Joy Ann Woods of Niles, three brothers; Joe (Vel) Woods of Cleveland, Ohio, James Bryant of South Bend and Willie Lee (Melody) Woods of Ypsilanti, Michigan.
