Larry Cordell Saunders March 28, 1940 May 27, 2007 Larry Cordell Saunders, 67, of East Fairview in South Bend, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 27, 2007 after a battle with cancer. Larry was born on March 28, 1940 to the late William "Zenus" and Thelma (Hulett) Saunders. After graduating high school Larry wed his sweetheart, Jackie Cochran at a ceremony in Niles on May 13, 1961. Larry's life was full of adventure and love. He was a member of the Mason's and the Shriner's. He was a volunteer transport driver for disabled and burn patients to the Shriner's Children's Hospital. Larry was a 32nd degree Mason which he was very proud of. He was the Senior Champion at Plym Park for several years. The only thing Larry loved more than the Shriner's, hunting, fishing and golf was his family. He was always comical, full of adventure and never met a stranger.
