Alvin Harper Davis March 15, 1913 June 13, 2007 Alvin Harper Davis, 94, passed away at Riveridge Manor in Niles on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 where he had resided for several Months. Alvin was born on March 15, 1913 to the late Edwin and Alma Edith (Harper) Davis in Constantine, Michigan. When Alvin was 21 he wed Vashti Nasse in 1935, together they had 3 children before their divorce. Alvin received his Journeyman's Card as a Master Machinist and was employed by Hughes Aircraft. On January 30, 1962 Alvin and Peggy Downer were wed at a ceremony in Benton Harbor. Together they had 2 children. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wife Peggy, Daughter Delores Henry and Sister Olive Jeanne Stills. Alvin is survived by his children Margo (Bill) Rhodes of Columbus, OH, Kenneth Davis of Oklahoma, Alana "Kris" Ferenczi of Niles, Marissa Hover of Niles, Son in law Karl "Skip" Henry and a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Friends. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at the Mission Hills Memorial Chapel from 12-1pm where Alvin's funeral will immediately follow. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mission Hills Memorial Chapel and Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services, both of Niles.
