Charles Drake, 81, of Niles, passed away on Saturday July 28, 2007 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend, following an illness.
Charles was born on January 16, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joseph and Beatrice ( ) Drake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth (Richardson) Drake, three sisters; Flora Lee Turner, Carrie Drake and Eva Dixon, a brother Willis Drake and a daughter Arnita Drake.
Charles is survived by six sons; David Drake of Lincoln, Illinois, Leonard (Rhonda) Drake of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Charles Drake, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jason Drake of South Bend, Indiana, and Kenneth C. Drake of Phoenix, Arizona, sisters; Corelle Bridgeport, Bernice Wilson and Louise Partee, twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends as well as a faithful companion Shelvia Jackson.
