Obituary of Phyllis Winter

Phyllis Amelia (Morgan) Winter July 22, 1928 August 10, 2007 Phyllis Amelia (Morgan) Winter, 79, of Sheridan Road in Niles, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 10, 2007 at her home with her family by her side. Phyllis was born on July 22, 1928 to the late Roland and Hazel (Craig) Morgan in Cleveland, Ohio where she was one of 4 children. On June 18, 1949 Phyllis was wed to the love of her life, Donald Winter at a ceremony in Detroit, Michigan. Together they had 4 children. Phyllis' main focus in life was her faith and her family. She was a devoted Christian which carried over into her family, marriage and all those she met. She is preceded in death by her parents, Brother Robert Morgan and Sister June La Pere. Phyllis is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Donald, Son Donald Winter, Jr. of Niles, MI, Daughters Lynn (Kenneth) Wisniewski of Niles, Sheryl Steiner of Phoenix, AZ and Betty Tacy of Mishawaka, IN, Sister Ruth Messecar of Trenton, MI, 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren. In keeping with Phyllis' wishes she has been cremated and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Niles at 11am with a time of visitation one hour prior. Pastor John Abbott will be officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Niles.
