Obituary of Gaylen Lund

Gaylen Nels Lund February 16, 1924 August 22, 2007 Gaylen Nels Lund, 83, of Indian Lake Road in Niles, passed away unexpectedly at his home with his wife by his side on Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Gaylen was born on February 16, 1924 to the late Arthur and Sarah (Johnson) Lund in North Gate, North Dakota. In 1945 Gaylen enlisted in to the United States Navy where he proudly served his country. On February 17, 1973 he wed the love of his life, Ethel (Brewer) Rockwell at a ceremony in Niles. He is preceded in death by his parents, Brother Gaylord Lund and Sister Ardis Lunsford. Gaylen is survived by his wife of 34 wonderful years, Ethel Lund, children Donald "Don" (Ruth) Rockwell of Elkhart, IN, Linda Moore of Niles, Patricia "Pat" Lintz of Niles, Edward "Ed" (Lois) Rockwell of Niles, Sandra "Sandy" (Tim) Wilson of Niles and Darlene "Dolly" (Robert) Leamon of Cropwell, AL, 16 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren and a brother Kleydith Lund of Portal, ND. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2007 from 1-3pm at the Mission Hills Memorial Chapel with Gaylen's funeral service immediately following at 3:00 pm. Reverend Tim Rowland will be officiating. Gaylen will be interred at the Mission Hills Memorial Garden of Psalms. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Niles.
