Louisa Chloe Ball, 90, of Mandrake Drive in Niles, passed away at Lakeland Hospital in Niles on September 4, 2007, following an illness. Louisa was born on November 21, 2007 to the late Fredrick and Edith (Singleton) Reiske in Queens, NY. She was one of 2 children. After graduating from Dowagiac High School in 1936 she wed the love of her life, Jacob Dillman Ball at a ceremony in South Bend, IN. Together they had 5 children. Louisa was a homemaker for most of life and enjoyed all aspects including cooking and baking. She also owned and operated The Home Café on Wayne Street for several years. Louisa loved traveling and decided to drive and deliver RV's for Morgan Drive Away in Elkhart. She was given the CB handle God's Angel. Her hobbies included roller skating, knitting, crocheting and camping. Louisa entertained many with her voice and ability to sing she had inherited from her parents, both opera singers. More than anything Louisa loved spending time with her family. She was a devoted member of Niles Westside Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband Jacob Ball, a Daughter Susan Ball and Brother William Reiske. Louisa is survived by her children Davis F. (Helen) Ball of San Antonio, TX, Nancy (Lew) Harman of Niles, MI, Robert L. Ball of Wisconsin, Daniel G. (Sherri) Ball of Dallas, TX, 12 Grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
