Obituary of Constance Stone

Constance "Connie" Irene (Roberts) Stone, 99, of Niles, passed away at the Lakeland Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center. Connie was born on January 28, 1908 to the late George and Irene (Brandt) Roberts in Pittsburg, PA. She was the oldest of 9 children. On August 13, 1927 Connie Roberts married the love of her life, Frank Stone at a ceremony in Flint, Michigan. Together they had 3 children. Before her health declined Connie was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 332, The Grange and the Niles Riding Club. She was also a long time member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank, Sons Frank E. Stone and Keith Stone and siblings George Roberts, Ed Roberts, Don Roberts, Ethel Duffy, and Norma Rutledge. Connie is survived by her son Terry (Trudy) Stone of Niles, Brother Raymond Roberts of Monroe, MI, Sister Eleanor Weber of California, 2 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 from 11-12 at the Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Niles where her funeral will immediately follow at Noon. Pastor Emmett Kadwell will be officiating. Constance will be interred at the Mission Hills Memorial Gardens with her husband. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Niles.
