Obituary of Lena Castle

Lena Ruth (Koenigshof) Castle October 21, 1910 September 16, 2007 Lena Ruth Castle, 96, of Buchanan passed away at Westwood of Niles on September 16, 2007. Lena was born on October 21, 1910 to the late Fred and Caroline (Andrews) Koenigshof in Dayton, Michigan. On June 11, 1939 Lena was married to Wayne C. Castle at a ceremony in South Bend, Indiana. Lena was a member of the St. Peters Evangelical Church Galien, Church of Christ in Buchanan, Home Builders Class and she was a member of the Eastern Stars. Lena and her husband owned Castle Jewelry and Gift Shop in Buchanan from 1948 until the late 1970's. She is preceded in death by her siblings Marie, Carl, Laura, Agnes, Harold, Robert and Richard Koenigshof and one Great-grandchild. Lena is survived by her children Charlene (Todd) Luton of Niles, Michigan and Thomas (Jennifer) Castle of Buchanan, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at 2 p.m. the Church of Christ in Buchanan to honor Lena's memory. She will be interred at Oakridge Cemetery in Buchanan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Niles.
