Mary Lou Ferguson, 63, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, August 10, 2013 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on November 18, 1949 in Dowagiac, Michigan to the late Richard and Elizabeth (Walsh) Guy.
Mary graduated from Dowagiac Union High School and studied nursing at Southwest Michigan College. She worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant. On May 27, 1994 Mary married Steven Ferguson at a ceremony in Paw Paw. She enjoyed swimming, her animals, watching Notre Dame or the Chicago Bears and spending time outdoors. She mostly cherished the time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Jim Guy.
Mary is survived by her husband Steven Ferguson of Niles, a daughter Kary (Luis) Sanchez of Niles, three grandchildren; Cruz, Luis and Diego and a sister Marge (Delmar) Emmons of Dowagiac.
