Obituary of William Stewart

William H. Stewart April, 25, 1916 September 29, 2007 William H. "Bill" Stewart, 91, of Dowagiac, passed away on Saturday September 29, 2007 at Cass County Medical Care Facility following a brief illness. Bill was born on April 25, 1916 in Henrietta, Texas to the late E.P. and Inez Stewart. On September 24, 1940 Bill married the love of his life Evelyn F. Reed at a ceremony in South Bend. He was in the United States Army. Bill was retired from Jessup Door Company where he worked for many years. He was a member of First Christian Church of Dowagiac, Dowagiac Elks lodge 889, Dowagiac Moose, and enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards with his friends and watching his grandsons in many sports along with watching the Cubs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Jack and Robert Stewart. Bill is survived by his wife Evelyn Stewart of Dowagiac, a son Thomas Stewart of Dowagiac, a daughter in law Sue Ann Stewart of Dowagiac, three grandsons; Ryan (Emily) Frontczak, Matthew Stewart, and Anthony Stewart all of Dowagaic, one Great grandson Mason Frontczak, his step mother Paulin Severeid of Mishawaka, IN, two sisters Sherry (Jim) Britton of Osceola, In and Sandy (Lee) Holland of Granger, One sister in law Lillian Stewart of Kalamazoo, MI., many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
