Obituary of Margaret Grundhofer

Margaret Mary Grundhofer February 16, 1918 October 8, 2007 Margaret Mary Grundhofer, 89, of South 17th Street in Niles, passed away at Riveridge Manor in Niles on October 8, 2007 after a short battle with cancer. Margaret was born on February 16, 1918 in Chicago, IL to the late Tom and Elizabeth (Huggard) Furner. Margaret wed Robert Grundhofer in 1965 and together they raised 6 children. She spent most of her free time walking, exercising at the Sr. Center 3 times a week and doing crossword puzzles daily. Margaret also was an avid animal lover. She rescued any animal that needed her. She is preceded in death by her Parents, husband Robert, Son Richard Gross, 1 sister and 3 brothers. Margaret is survived by her Children Joan (Dale) DeNeve of Vicksburg, MI, James (Bonnie) Gross of White Pigeon, MI, Billy Gross of Niles, Robert Grundhofer of Illinois and Lonnie Grundhofer of Georgia, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a life long friend Mary of Florida. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 10 am at the Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Niles where her service will follow at 11:00 am. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Niles.
