Obituary of Sara Dietz

Sara Louise (Hodgson) Dietz August 21, 1963 October 14, 2007 Sara Louise Dietz, 44, of Apple Lane in Niles, passed away unexpectedly at Memorial Hospital in South Bend on Sunday, October 14, 2007. Sara was born on august 21, 1963 to the late Walter Hodgson and Beverly (Dopieralski) DeGraff in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was one of 6 children raised by Tom and Beverly DeGraff. On June 29, 1991 Sara wed the love of her life, Charles "Chuck" Dietz at a ceremony in Niles. Together they have 2 beautiful daughters. Sara worked as a Quality Control Supervisor for Royal Adhesives and Sealants (formerly Uniroyal) for over 9 years. After her first daughter was born Sara went back to college for 2 years. She was a very excitable person and was always up doing something. Chocolate and shopping were her 2 main loves, next to her amazing family, of course. She also enjoyed vacationing in the south with her husband and children. She was known by her family for always being the one to stay in contact with everyone, no matter what it took. She is survived by her husband of 16 short years, Chuck, Daughters Madison and Morgan Dietz of Niles, siblings, John (Judy) Hodgson of South Bend, IN, Marilyn (Rick) Base of Wyatt, IN, Steve (Terry) Hodgson of Mishawaka, Mike (Marj) Hodgson of Mishawaka, IN and George Hodgson of South Bend and several other family members. A time of visitation will be held at the Mission Hills Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 4 p.m. with Sara's funeral following at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Lucas Miles from Oasis Church will be officiating. Sara will be interred at the Mission Hills Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Niles.
