Walter Gonser, 90, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Monday November 5, 2007 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joe following a brief illness. He was born on August 5, 1917 in Rector, Arkansas to the late Lieu and Alpha (Greggory) Gonser. On November 3, 1942 Walter married Betty Brady who preceded him in death in 1976. Walter was a proud WWII U.S. Army veteran. After his honorable discharge from the armed forces he worked most of his life as a factory worker for Industrial Rubber. Walter hobbies included working on cars, watching TV, playing bingo, and visiting with his friends he had made at Orchard Grove Nursing Home. He also loved spending time with his family. Walter is survived by his two daughters Carol (Charles) Dunn of Benton Harbor and Mary McCaig of Humble, Tennessee, five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and a brother Charles Gonser of California.
