Obituary of Caris Criswell

Caris Delos Criswell April 28, 1927 November 20, 2007 Caris Delos Criswell, 80, of the Indiana Veterans Home in Lafayette, IN passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 20, 2007. Caris was born on April 28, 1927 to the late Caris and Daisy Mae (Mansfield) Criswell in Fair Oaks, Indiana. He was one of 9 children in the Criswell household. In the early 1960's Caris married the love of the life, Rosabelle Yeich, at a ceremony in Lafayette, IN. He also proudly served his country in the US Army and also as a Seabee in the Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Rose, brothers Robert, Kenneth, Wilford and Elmer Criswell and sisters Agnes Freeland and Dorothy Hardesty. Caris is survived by his sisters Alice Davis of Morley, MI and Virginia Freeland of Lafayette, IN along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and one great-great nephew. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 from 10 to 11am with a funeral service immediately following at 11am at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Niles. Memorial donations may be made in Caris' memory to the Michigan's Veteran's Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Niles.
