Frances Grace (Floyd) Gettig December 25, 1935 November 21, 2007 Frances Grace Gettig, 71, of CR 690 in Sister Lakes, passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 with her family by her side. Fran was born on Christmas Day 1935 to the late Henry David and Ethel (Prim) Floyd in Prescott, Arizona. She was one of 7 children in the Floyd household. On June 5, 1954 Fran wed the love of her life, Robert Gettig at a beautiful ceremony in South Bend, Indiana. Fran enjoyed the game of Bingo and also enjoyed crafts and crocheting. She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, brother Dan Mulhern and sister Marie Clemens. Frances is survived by her wonderful children Robin (Ora) Stossivich of Sarasota, FL, David (Diane Prince) Gettig of Sarasota, FL, Tina (Dennis) Hogle of Coloma, MI, Rebecca Gettig of Palmetto, FL, Robert Gettig Jr. of Sister Lakes, MI, Sheila Copeland of Palmetto, FL, Michael (Sharon) Gettig of Sarasota, FL and Mary Gettig of Sister Lakes, MI, 25 grandchildren and 32 Great-grandchildren with 2 on the way, brothers David (Teresa) Floyd of Nebraska, John (Freda) Mulhern of Nebraska and Mickey Mulhern of Escanaba, MI and sister Marjie Alsup of Watervliet, MI and several other family members who will miss "Aunt Fran" greatly. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, November 26, 2007 from 12-2 with Frances' funeral immediately following at 2pm at the Mission Hills Memorial Chapel. Pastor Kurt Schneider of St. Joseph will be officiating. Frances will be interred in the Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles, MI. Condolences may be left for the family at www.BrownFuneralHomeNiles.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services and Mission Hills Memorial Chapel of Niles.
