Obituary of Dortha Howard

Dortha Mae Howard, 82 of Lutz, FL, went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 28, 2007, at Brighton Gardens Nursing Home in Tampa, Florida following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Monday, December 3, 2007 at Crystal Springs Church of God, Benton Harbor, Michigan. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Dortha's memory to Crystal Springs Church of God, 1465 Pipestone, Benton Harbor, MI. Share a memory with the family at www.BrownFuneralHomeNiles.com Dortha was born in Bono, Arkansas on May 15, 1925 the daughter of Rollin and Rose (Hinkle) Forrester. On February 4,1946 she married Otha Howard at a ceremony in Heber Springs, Arkansas. She was blessed with the birth of a daughter, Linda(Ed)Turner. She lived most of her life in Michigan and was very active in Crystal Springs Church of God, Benton Harbor, MI, Baroda Church of God, Baroda, MI and Decatur Church of God, where her husband served as pastor. Dortha loved children, cooking and her family. She worked several years at Cook Nuclear at the Welcoming Center. God was first in Dortha's life and she conveyed that to her family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Otha Howard of Lutz, Fl, daughter, Linda(Ed)Turner of Lutz, Fl, and granddaughters, Melissa(Rob)Hinchliffe of Odessa, Fl, Megan(Tony)Rouse of Calera, Al, and great grandchildren; Alexandria Hinchliffe, Trey Hinchliffe and Madison Rouse. A brother, Neal(Vergie) Forrester of Baroda, MI, sister Jewel(George) Walker of Benton Harbor, MI. She was proceeded in death by her parents, twin sons, brother, Roy Forrester and sister Vivian Louise Trail. Dortha was loved unconditionally by her family and will be greatly missed.
