Melvin "Bud" Boswell, 75, Granger, Indiana passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 1, 2007.
Bud was born in Bradford, Arkansas to the late Milton and Maudi Smith (Adams) Boswell.
On August 7, 1977 he married Rachel Brant at a ceremony at First Presbyterian Church in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Bud was a truck driver most of his life. He also had a love for gardening and square dancing. He was a member of the Sunshine Twirlers and The Chain Gang square dancing clubs. Bud was a hopeful fisherman and enjoyed cross country skiing. He also could be found tinkering in the garage or was Mr. Fix It when needed. Bud's greatest love was his family. He always looked forward to having them all over for one of his famous fish fry's. Bud was also an exceptional baker and baked delicious pies for every occasion. Bud was also a gifted musician playing both the piano and organ.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife Rachel Boswell of Granger, two sons Ronny (Kathryn) Boswell of Shell Knob, Missouri and Jerry (Jan) Boswell of Chesterfield, Michigan a daughter Teresa (David) Primmer of Mishawaka, two step daughters Cynthia (Larry) Griesmeir of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Victoria Lovejoy of South Bend, Indiana, two stepsons Bud (Vickie) Brant of Berrien Springs and Jon Brant of Niles, thirteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, four sisters; Oriene McDougal of Novi, Michigan, Willie Wilson of Floral, Arkansas, Nellie Lea of Judsonia, Arkansas and Lottie (Pete) James of Bradford, Arkansas.
