Obituary of Timothy Melvin

Timothy Ray Melvin, 39, of Ironwood, Niles, passed away unexpectedly at his home December 19, 2007. Timothy was born on October 13, 1968 to Leroy Melvin and Carol Rieves in St. Joseph, Michigan. On November 6, 1998 Tim married the love of his life Heather (Denison) at a ceremony in Niles, Michigan. He was employed by Delta Machine in Niles. In his free time Timothy loved to jump on his motorcycle and just take a ride, wherever the road might take him. He also loved to watch his favorite sporting events, rooting his favorite Nascar driver or football player. Most of all, Tim loved to spend time with his family. They were first and foremost in his life. Surviving Tim are his his wife Heather, his two children Anastasia and Timothy Jr. of Niles his father and stepmother Leroy and Joann Melvin of Watervliet, his mother and stepfather, Carol and Carl Rieves of Edwardsburg. Also surviving Tim are his brothers Keith Vankirk of Niles and Matthew Melvin of Middleville, his sisters Erica (John) Vankirk of Niles, Rachelle (Dan) Prichard of Jackson, Shannon Rieves of Buchanan and Amanda Rieves of Berrien Springs, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Lynn (Marty) Bauske of Buchanan. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, brother and sister-in-laws, and friends.
