Betty Ketterer, 90, of Park Place, Mishawaka, passed away on Thursday January 3, 2008 at LG's Whispering Pines Adult Care in Edwardsburg, following a lengthy illness.
Betty was born on October 12, 1917 in Lewis and Louise (Kuhl) Mattcheck in Cincinnati.
On April 19, 1941 she married Cyril Ketterer at a ceremony in Cincinnati, Ohio. He preceded her in death in 2007.
A homemaker most of her life, Betty enjoyed sewing, volunteering at Shriners Burns Hospital in Cincinnati and mostly spending time with her granddaughters.
Betty is survived by a son Dennis (Nancy McKee) Ketterer of Phoenix, Arizona, a daughter Terri (Irv) Young of Mishawaka, Indiana, two granddaughters Christine and Kathryn Young of Mishawaka, three sisters; Edna Merkle, Mary Messerschmitt and Dolores (Anthony) Kuehnle all of Cincinnati.
In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later time.
