Obituary of Gertrude Larsen

Gertrude D. Larsen, 79, of Niles, passed away Friday January 4, 2008, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN, following an illness. Gertrude was born on January 25, 1929, to the late Edward and Frances (Ciegelskie) Drada in South Bend, IN. On November 19, 1946 Gertrude married Walter Larsen at a ceremony in South Bend, IN. Gertrude was an Press Operator for many years at Sheller Gobe and prior had worked at Simplicity Pattern. A homemaker for almost thirty years, her greatest love was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son John (Deborah) Larsen, two sisters Ruth Barsodia, and Pat Bickerson. She is survived by two sons;, Jerry (Rebecca) Larsen of Elkhart, Indiana, Jimmy (Michele) Larsen of Bloomington, Illinois, two daughters; Jan (Jerry) Asbury of Granger, Indiana, Joanna (Kerry) Flory of Cassopolis, one brother Edward (Alice) Drada of Niles, one sister; Mary Ann (Hobie) Syson of El Paso, TX, and eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
