Obituary of James Royce Millin Sr.

James R. Millin, Sr., 72, of Niles, passed away at his residence, on Thursday, April 4, 2019, following a brief illness.

He was born in South Bend, Indiana to the late Walter “Buck” and Leora (Cohoe) Millin.

On August 7, 1965 James married Theresa Ann Hilligoss at a ceremony at Smith’s Chapel in Niles, Michigan.

James was retired from Garden City Fan after many years, where he worked in shipping and receiving. James enjoyed bowling, reading novels, playing Boulder Dash, and mostly time spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Theresa Millin; a sister, Dorothy (John) Beck; a brother, Robert Millin and a sister-in-law, Patsy Millin.

James is survived by his children, Deborah (Shawn Hickey) Millin, James Jr.(Kelly) Millin, Anthony (Jennifer) Millin; grandchildren, Brenton (Debbie) Millin, Bradley (Hayley) Millin,  A.J. Millin, Ryan Elizabeth Millin, Collin Millin, James Millin III, Dustin Millin and Landon Millin; great-grandchildren, Connor and Amelia.  He will also be missed by his sisters, Janet (Denny) Eagan and Lois (Walt) Semenuk; his brother Allan Millin and his sister-in-law, Meri Millin;

Services to honor James life will be Friday, April 12, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. with visitation beginning at 5:00p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Niles.
