Obituary of Florence Miller

Florence Maxine (Finn) Miller January 7, 1910 - March 25, 2008 Florence Maxine Miller, 98, of Niles, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Westwoods of Niles. On January 7, 1910, Florence was born to the late Charles and Minnie (Hamilton) Finn of Centralia, Illinois. At the age of 16, at a ceremony in South Bend, Indiana, on June 12, 1926 Florence married the love of her life, Lloyd D. Miller. Florence worked for many years at Simplicity Pattern Company before retiring in 1973. Florence took pleasure in traveling, needlepoint and embroidery. She especially enjoyed every opportunity she had to spend with her family. Preceding Florence were her husband Lloyd, her son Lloyd D. Miller, Jr., her parents Charles and Minnie Finn a great-granddaughter, Tammy Miller, six sisters and two brothers. Surviving Florence are her two daughters, Virginia (Larry) Hall of Niles, and Nancy (Charles) Austin of Irving, Texas. Also her four sons; Michael (Gail) Miller of South Bend, Indiana, Herbert (Mary Lou) Miller of Niles, Leslie (Dorothy) Miller of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Melvin (Vicki) Miller of Orlando, Florida. She will also be missed by eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and a special nephew William (Jane) Gilbert of Niles. In accordance with Florence's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
