Obituary of Max Robert Clipfell

Max Robert Clipfell, 63, of South Whitley, Indiana and formerly of Colon, Michigan, passed away at his daughter’s home in Niles, Michigan on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Max was born on February 7, 1957, to the late Loring Clipfell and Wilderene Jean Warren. He is also preceded by his stepmother, Shirley Clipfell. On February 28, 1975, Max wed Terri Frick at a ceremony in Mongo, Indiana. Together they had three daughters, Crystal, Starr, and Bobbie. Max spent much of his free time at the AMVETS hanging out with his friends, fishing, cooking, and spoiling his grandchildren. Max was a member of the AMVETS of South Whitley, Indiana, American Legion of Syracuse, Indiana and The Eagles Lodge of Syracuse. Max is survived by his children, Crystal (Richard) Delp of Colon, Michigan, Starr (Jerimy Horn) Myers of Niles, and Bobbie (Dustin) Mace of Wiesbaden, Germany; grandchildren, Felicity Myers, Robert Myers, Ruthe Horn, Ayden Horn, Alayna Horn, Caitlyn Clipfell, Breayna Delp, Ayden Delp, Aubrey Mace, and Trenton Mace; siblings, Wyman (Joan Gritzmacher) Clipfell of Three Rivers, Michigan, John (Missy) Trussell of Goshen, Indiana, Richard (Paige) Warner of Mattawan, Michigan, Shane (Connie) Clipfell of Kalamazoo, Rick (Karen) Clipfell of Fulton, Michigan, Lorin (Susie) Clipfell of Goshen, Indiana, and Shelly (Todd) Ruden of Coldwater, Michigan; and many extended family members and close friends. In keeping with Max’s wishes, he has been cremated. His family will be remembering him with a celebration of life in the spring. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in lieu of flowers may do so to the family to help with final expenses.
