Obituary of Peggy Lynn Samolczyk

Peggy Samolczyk, 68, of Niles, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2020, at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina. Peggy was born on May 16, 1952 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late James and Mary (Payne) Williams. Peggy wed James Samolczyk at a ceremony in Covington, Kentucky on August 14, 1969. She enjoyed flower gardening, scrapbooking and was known to be a fabulous cook. She enjoyed shopping trips, especially with her daughter. Peggy and Jim also participated in archery competitions, winning several large tournaments. The last few years Peggy and Jim have traveled throughout the U.S. in their R.V. making countless friends along the way. Peggy had no greater love than that for her family, including their dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, James Samolczyk Jr. Peggy is survived by her husband, James Samolczyk of Niles; daughter, Tina (Travis) Noid of Niles; grandchildren, Katelyn and Chris Mueller; and many extended family members and close friends. Cremation has taken place and her family will be remembering her privately.
